Following recent negotiations between GMCU (Goulburn Murray Credit Union) and the Australian National Show and Shine Euroa, the locally based financial and insurance institution will now have Trophy Naming Rights for the show’s two most prestigious trophies for 2019.

The top awards, for Best Car in Show, and Best Motorcycle in Show will be known as the “GMCU BEST IN SHOW” and the “GMCU BEST MOTORCYCLE IN SHOW.”

GMCU will also gain a significantly higher profile at the event, with a stand located in the popular “Area 1” of the show, close to Centre Stage, where company representatives will be available to consult with local people about their financial and insurance needs.

A long time sponsor of the Euroa Show and Shine, GMCU has also been the financial institution of choice for our event, with very satisfactory results.

With an ever-decreasing presence of the “Big 4” banks in rural areas, GMCU has played a lead-house role as preferred financial institution around the Goulburn Valley. Headquartered in Shepparton, GMCU also has branches in Euroa, Benalla, Echuca, Kilmore, Kyabram, Mooroopna, Numurkah, Seymour and Violet Town.

Euroa Show and Shine Vice President Ray Read said that recent negotiations with GMCU General Manager Melissa Ralph had been very successful.

“Both entities are looking forward to working closely together in a partnership, over the period leading up tour show on 6th October.” Mr. Read said.

“This will involve much more than just a sponsorship. We see that as the biggest annual event in the Strathbogie Shire, our show can offer a unique opportunity for GMCU to showcase their products and services to potential customers, virtually right in the centre of their area of influence in our community.”

“We will also look at areas whereby we can assist each other in promotional activities via social media and other media outlets”

In a recent newsletter, Ms. Ralph commented on the positive results achieved by the Goulburn Murray Credit Union over the last financial year.

“These results were a great testament to the strength of our credit union, which ensures that we can continue to contribute to the communities in which we live and invest in accessible banking products and services for members both now and into the future.”
