The AUSTRALIAN NATIONAL SHOW AND SHINE EUROA proudly claims to be one of the top Show and Shine events in the nation. After all, you don’t get to use the term “Australian National” without having earned it!
Together with our major sponsors Shannons Insurance, we have naturally focussed on presenting some of the best examples of cars, bikes and many other things with engines to the excited hordes of motoring enthusiasts who flock to our show on the first Sunday of October each year.
There are exhibitions from motoring clubs, both cars and bikes, of their absolute best machines across current, vintage, veteran and classic classes. As an indication of what to expect, there are over 70 prize categories, including not only the usual “national” and “brands” but also classifications such as “Modified, Restored, Special Interest, Hot Rod, Original, Club Display, Race Car, Truck, Ute, Trike etc.” The list goes on.
Aside from the cars, bikes and trucks, special interest groups abound. Steam engines, both mobile and stationary, and a speedway display. Exhibitions by Country Fire Authority, Victoria Police and Ambulance all offer some great insights into what’s new and exciting for our emergency services.
Many of our sponsors and retailers will have their stands around the streets and parks offering special deals, so the whole event becomes a virtual marketplace, offering an exciting family environment. Several continuous bands covering a variety of genres will perform throughout the day. Also, don’t miss the Rock ‘n Roll dancing exhibition.
For the family, there are skydivers to watch, helicopter rides, free mini-train rides for the kids, face painting, jumping castles and a petting zoo with lots of hands-on, cuddly, furry animals.
Hungry? Thirsty? Not a problem! There will be plenty of food stalls and a heap of coffee vendors throughout the area.
And, talking about the area, this year the Euroa Show and Shine will once again be taking it to the streets, spreading the display cars around by including the Euroa CBD as well as the picturesque Seven Creeks Park area. This means that most of the shops and businesses in town will be open, so everything from food to dresses and gifts, with everything in between available to browse and purchase.
The highlight of the day will be the presentations of the trophies to the winners, at around 2pm. Make sure that you get to the presentation area early, because you won’t believe the crowd that gathers to see just who won what!
Event Director of the Australian National Show and Shine Euroa, Ross Holt describes the event as: “An absolute Mecca for any motoring enthusiast who is looking for a fun, family friendly day out.”
Gates open at 8am and the event continues until around 3.30pm on Sunday 1st. October. Entry is just $5, with $10 for display vehicles, which includes entry for the driver.
