4 Months to Go
OUR EVENT IS NOW JUST FOUR MONTHS AWAY, and your Euroa Show and Shine committee has been working hard behind the scenes to provide you with a great event which will at least equal our incredible display for 2018.
To be honest, it’s going to be hard to beat. But we will try!
We are close to finalising our sponsors for 2019, and are very excited to welcome on board GMCU, our financial partner as the major trophy naming sponsor for this year, By early July, sponsors will be finalised, and you can expect to see our new flyers and window posters starting to appear around the district, and as far away as Albury, Melbourne and Bendigo, all of whom provide flocks of spectators to our family friendly event.
This year’s theme of the 1970s has been spectacularly successful so far, with a lot of interest being shown in dressing up, bringing ‘70s vehicles and of course with the screening of EASY RIDER at the Euroa Community Cinema on Saturday night. Spies tell me that there is something brewing for Violet Town as well.
Our motor cycle people have gone bananas with a focus on Choppers, Dirt bikes and more. We are continually updating our Facebook and Web pages with new arrivals, including what may be our star attraction of the 1902 American Motors Rambler – manufactured 2 years prior to the Ford T- model. This was actually before the invention of the steering wheel – it’s got a tiller!
From the old to the new, and Darryl Twitt Motors will feature the incredible all-electric Jaguar I-Pace, with an acceleration of just 4.6 seconds from 0 to 100kph. That will just be part of their 6 vehicle top of the range display, featuring six different brands of cars.
In between, the Riley club will be there in force, the Corvettes will return and our official photographer, Jodie Khune from Auto-Motive photography has recruited several Renault Alpine A110 Rally cars, which will be attending our event for the first time – see our feature picture.
These are just a few of our attractions, but the best news will be that the Australian National Show and Shine Euroa still offers the best-ever value for money family entertainment available for motoring enthusiasts. Spectators will get in for just $5 per person, with children free! As we say it’s SO MUCH MORE THA JUST A CAR AND BIKE SHOW!
For your additional entertainment we will have three bands, free mini train rides for the kids, food and coffee stalls throughout the venue, with market and trade stalls.
The popular horse and carriage rides return, and the speedway stand has now expanded to include a variety of racing races, both old and new.
Or course, we will keep you updated as new arrivals are confirmed.
A reminder to get there early – 8am start with our presentation of over 70 trophies on Centre Stage at 1.30pm.
It’s going to be a very big day!
